Data Collector

The Data Collector enables the meter reader to perform remote electronic infield meter testing, interrogation and configuration.

The Data Collector is a radio device that is designed for use with the PPU23WMD.

The Data Collector communicates with one or more PPU23WMD units and the Prepaid Meters Management System. Data collected from various PPU23WMD devices is transmitted to the Prepaid Meter Management System where it can be viewed and modified.

Modified information including available water limits and other configuration parameters can then be sent back to the Data Collector from the Prepaid Meter Management System, which in turn downloads the new data to the PPU23WMD.

The Data Collector can support up to 100 PPU23WMD units in line of sight. In situations where line of site is not possible, additional Data Collectors may be required depending on the nature of the obstruction.

The Prepaid Meter Management System enables:

• In-field configuration, testing and interrogation of the unit
• Display of current management settings
• Setting the management parameters
• Testing valve operation, flow measurement and communication operations
• Graphic display of consumption Profiles, alarms including leaks and tamper flags , end of month reading , duty cycle, silent time, message format
• Programming of the radio
• Downloading of current and historic data
• Transfer of data to a system database

Programming Capabilities and Configuration Options:

• Configurable daily activation time, the PPU23WMD supports two daily switching times
• Open Duration- PPU23WMD allows for the device to be opened for a fixed duration
• Daily and/or monthly flow limitation
• Daily or monthly limitation between 10 litres to 50,000 litres, monthly up to 100kl
• Override feature
• Billing date
• Optional carry-over of unused daily allocation
• Daily carry-over within month
• Daily and monthly carry-over
