How to request a 20 digit credit token for a sub-meter |

For the meter to allow supply of electricity a 20 digit credit token must be entered. A token, up to the value of available credit, can be obtained at any time by sending an SMS request to the number 31696.

Write a text message containing the following string.
mpin*meterno*amount
For example:
1234*04111111110*150
Replace "04111111110" with your meter number.
Replace "150" with the value in Rands.
Replace "1234" with your own PIN number.
- Send the message to 31696.

You will receive an SMS response containing the following information.
Token:1234 5678 9012 3456 6789
T1, SGC 399999 25kwh @ 30c/kwh

Enter the 20 digit token into the meter using the key pad.
Once entered the KW/h value reflected on the meter display will be updated accordingly.
